Brand refresh and motion design
I worked on the Frankie & Benny’s rebrand alongside the brilliant team at Venturethree, contributing motion design and animation to support a refreshed, family-friendly visual identity.
The rebrand centred on a diverse cast of illustrated characters created by Phil Arthur, designed to reflect the warmth, personality, and shared experience of dining at Frankie & Benny’s. My role was to bring these characters to life through animation, ensuring the movement felt playful, accessible, and consistent with the broader brand tone.
The animated assets were rolled out across multiple touchpoints, including in-restaurant screens, menus, signage, and online content. The focus was on clarity, charm, and repeatability, creating motion that could live comfortably across a large estate while remaining engaging and characterful.
Working closely with Venturethree, the animation was developed to integrate seamlessly into the wider brand system, supporting a cohesive rollout across physical and digital environments.
