Hello, I'm Simon Tibbs, a UK-based senior freelance motion designer and animator. I love making things move ;)

A child of the 80s, I grew up on a rich diet of 90s cartoons, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, and The Raccoons. Doodling was my passion. I drew on tables, walls, clothes, you name it - sorry, Mum. All those tellings-off and lunchtime detentions weren't wasted: the same obsession with getting a character just right in Year 5 is still what drives the work now.

These days, that shows up as four years as Head of Animation at Cub Studio, and a freelance career built on agencies trusting me to take a brief and run with it.

I work directly with agencies and in-house teams, picking up a brief at any stage- from early concept through to final delivery— and steering it through review rounds to a finished film that holds up under a tight deadline. I illustrate as well as animate, so the visual language and the story develop together rather than being bolted on afterwards.
