Project Overview
As part of a wider campaign celebrating Olympic sports, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Team Canada and Toyota on an animated explainer that dives into the fast-paced world of Olympic bobsledding. The goal? To take a sport that often seems complex or inaccessible and bring its energy and mechanics to life through clear, compelling motion design.
Working as a senior motion designer at Cub Studio, I helped craft a piece that blends education and excitement, translating intricate rules, strategies, and equipment into a visual narrative that anyone could follow. From the physics of the sled to the coordination of the team, every moment was designed to simplify without dumbing down.
This animation was one of several in a series focused on making Olympic sports feel approachable for fans of all ages. By pairing dynamic motion graphics with well-paced storytelling, we aimed to strip away the confusion and replace it with curiosity. It’s a great example of how motion graphic design can be more than eye candy—it can clarify, connect, and inspire.
Whether I’m working with major brands or independent agencies, my approach stays the same: use motion to make messages matter. Projects like this demonstrate the impact motion graphics can have when used strategically, especially in sports marketing, education, and branded content.
If you’re looking for a freelance motion graphics designer who understands how to engage audiences and explain complex ideas through animation, I’d love to chat. You can view more motion design work like this in my portfolio.
