Project Overview

During my time at Cub Studio, I had the opportunity to contribute to a compelling animation project for We Are Futures, a brand and social impact agency focused on helping organisations connect with young people through meaningful initiatives. The goal of the project was to create a short, engaging animation that conveyed the agency’s mission, values, and range of services, while resonating with their core audience.

Working as part of a close-knit motion graphic design team, I helped shape the visual language and motion storytelling, ensuring the final animation felt dynamic and authentic. From initial concept development through to final delivery, this was a project that blended graphic and motion design in a way that was both strategic and expressive. As a freelance motion graphics designer, it’s exactly the kind of work I love, communicating big ideas through clean visuals, smart pacing, and a strong sense of narrative.

The project required a thoughtful approach to motion graphic design, with a strong emphasis on clarity, accessibility, and visual tone. Every movement was designed to support the message and appeal to younger audiences without losing sight of the brand’s professional credibility. It also offered the chance to collaborate with creative directors, writers, and producers, something I enjoy as part of my wider freelance motion design practice.

Projects like this are a great example of how motion graphics can elevate storytelling and enhance brand communication. Whether working independently or alongside a studio team, I bring experience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of what makes animated content work across platforms. If you're looking for a freelance motion designer who can help bring your next idea to life, whether you're a studio, agency, or brand, I’d love to hear from you.
