Bear Naked Granola: The Adventures of the Granola Bears

Project Overview

I had the pleasure of collaborating with the brilliant team at Rocket Lab on this whimsical campaign for Bear Naked Granola, a playful motion graphic design animation that dives into a charming forest brimming with personality. This spot follows the Bear Naked Granola Bears as they forage for the freshest natural ingredients, bringing the brand’s adventurous, outdoorsy identity to life in a storybook-inspired world.

As a freelance motion designer on the project, my role focused on character rigging and animation. Using Duik, I built flexible rigs that gave the bears a wide emotional range, everything from subtle head tilts to full-body reactions. This allowed us to inject warmth and playfulness into each scene and ensure every character moment felt intentional and expressive.

I worked closely with the incredibly talented Justin Puda to sync our animation style and create movement that felt light, energetic, and full of charm. Together, we gave the bears distinct personalities through motion, whether they were sniffing out ingredients or tumbling through the undergrowth.
