Project Overview

STASH, a forward-thinking financial technology company, approached me with a clear mission: bring their new Smart Save feature to life through animation. The challenge? Create an engaging, easy-to-understand explainer video that would not only introduce Smart Save but also help potential users grasp its benefits in just a few moments.

As a freelance motion designer in was time to put my with a background in financial storytelling, I focused on crafting a clear, accessible narrative that broke down how Smart Save works. From initial storyboarding to final delivery, every stage of the motion graphic design process was geared toward one thing: clarity. We wanted users to instantly see how Smart Save could make small, automatic savings part of their everyday spending, without adding friction to their financial lives.

The animation combines friendly character design with clean infographics, using a warm, illustrative style that aligns with STASH’s brand. The visuals needed to support the script without overwhelming it. The result is a short, sharp film that explains a smart financial concept with real simplicity and charm.

Whether you're a fintech startup launching a new feature or a company looking to educate users about your platform, working with an experienced freelance motion graphics designer can make all the difference. This project is a strong example of how explainer videos can turn complex features into intuitive, confidence-building tools for your audience.

Combining dimensions

A mix of 2D and 3D brings these pieces to life.

The jar’s bounce is synced with the body’s run cycle, creating a smooth and natural motion. Adding the legs was the final touch to complete the effect. Details like this take extra time, but the result is always worth it.
